1. Introduction

Tingpoint ("we", "us", "our") operates a social app for bars and clubs in Switzerland. This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect, how we use it, and your rights as a user.

By using the Tingpoint app, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

2. Data We Collect

We collect the following categories of personal data:

• Account data: display name, email address, date of birth, profile photo, biography, home canton
• Location: precise location while the app is in use, to show nearby venues and enable check-ins. We do not access location in the background.
• User content: photos uploaded to your gallery, messages sent to other users, drink orders placed
• Transaction data: records of drink orders (payment processing is handled entirely by Stripe or Mollie — we never store card details)
• Identifiers: a unique user ID (UUID) assigned to your account

3. How We Use Your Data

• To provide and operate the app — profiles, messaging, check-ins, drink orders, spot invitations
• To show you other users and venues near your location
• To send push notifications (drinks received, invitations, contact requests, messages) — only with your explicit permission
• To ensure the safety of our community (blocking, reporting, content moderation)

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. Your profile information is visible to other Tingpoint users according to your chosen visibility settings.

Payment processing for drink orders is handled by Mollie and/or Stripe under their respective privacy policies. We share only the minimum data required to process a transaction (order amount, venue identifier). We never receive or store card numbers or banking details.

We do not share your data with advertising networks or analytics providers.

5. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored securely via Supabase on EU-based infrastructure. We apply industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (TLS) and row-level security policies.

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your personal data is removed from our systems.

6. Push Notifications

If you grant permission, we send push notifications to inform you of activity in the app (drinks, invitations, messages). You can withdraw this permission at any time in your device's notification settings.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your data (you can also delete your account directly in the app)
• Object to or restrict certain processing
• Lodge a complaint with a data protection authority

8. Age Requirement

Tingpoint is intended exclusively for users aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If we become aware that a user is under 18, we will delete their account and associated data promptly.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the app. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
